Manage formcel from VS Code

Connect VS Code to the formcel console with MCP. Create instances, change packages, invite your team and add domains just by asking.

Add formcel to VS Code

Add this to .vscode/mcp.json, or run MCP: Open User Configuration to add it everywhere. The first time GitHub Copilot uses formcel, VS Code opens the browser to sign in.

{
  "servers": {
    "formcel": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://console.formcel.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Sign in and click Allow

VS Code opens your browser, you sign in to the formcel console and click Allow. There is no API key to copy, and you can disconnect it any time under Account → Connected apps.

What VS Code can do

List and create organizations and instances, check addresses, compare and change packages, invite team members, add custom domains, read usage and billing, and open or reply to support requests.

What stays with you

VS Code acts as you, with your role in each organization. It can't terminate or open instances, change roles or security settings, or take payments. When a card is needed, it gives you a Stripe Checkout link to open yourself.

Things to ask VS Code

Create a new instance for a client
Check whether an address is still free
Preview and change an instance's package
Invite a colleague to your organization
Add a custom domain and list its DNS records
Show usage against your package limits

Bring formcel into VS Code
